Jackie Grissom is a NC Licensed Professional Counselor, and received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University. She has practiced three years at a college counseling center, eight years in community mental health, and ten years in private practice. She specializes in working with teens and adults, and in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help with past trauma and PTSD, depression, and borderline personality disorder. She also provides couples/marriage counseling. Jackie has had extensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and offers both individual and group DBT therapy. She is comfortable and has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBT clients, and is always glad to include family members or significant others in sessions when appropriate or requested. Jackie grew up in a military family and thus lived in many states
and countries, but has called North Carolina home since 1992. She has
been married 33 years and has three grown children. Jackie sees clients at two
